Based on a challenge by to create a tarot deck on the character/tarot pairing she listed over on Altimit Corp.
I ended up changing some of them. The Fool - Haseo (First form) instead of TriEdge The Magician - Gaspard instead of Piros the Third The Devil - Natsumi instead of Harald Hoerick The Tower - Azure Kite instead of Cubia
My other .hack//GU works: Silabus Alkaid Haseo - Coming soon
She's the Wheel because it stands for fate/destiny, possibilities, and turning points on the positive side, and the negative side of the card symbolizes someone being controlled or lead around. Atoli had the furthest to go emotionally other than Haseo, and her life and outlook was turned upside down by the game.
I've tried to find layman's terms for each of the tarots, (not counting how they intereact with each other and with the minor Tarots), but they always end up double backing on themselves.
The Chariot I thought was someone who was rigid, and devoted to duty.
And I think having Natsume as 'The Devil' feels more like a joke. Since her entire place in the .hack//GU games seems to be more of gage on the designers part. The Devil I heard represented Greed, Manipulation, and Self Destruction.
Haseo's placement as the fool is obvious.
But I'm wondering about your other choices.
The majority of the character associations were the brain storm of another person. *points to description*
However, as for the Chariot, here's what the TarotWiki says - "The Chariot is all about the concentration, willpower and determination it takes to control those (proverbial) horses and keep them steadily on the path that leads to your goals. The card stands for resolving conflict within yourself and finding the necessary balance to accomplish your ambitions."
My view of Endrance has been that once his mind is set on something, there is no turning him from that path. It even goes back to his previous character. He became so fixated on his important people that nothing else mattered. He'll do whatever it takes to stay by their sides.
The Devil as from Tarotwiki - "The Devil indicates any sort of addiction or obsession, something with which we can tend to get "carried away", to the point of losing control over our actions. .. The Devil may also represent the 'other' appearing as one's own 'Shadow' (Jung), i.e. repressed negative side, more readily perceived in others than ourselves."
I used those two direct interpretations when working on the Devil card. Natsume has always been obsessed with finding what she believes to be the weapon Tri-Edge. She's even gone so far as to create a second personality that pk's, and yet doesn't even realize it. She most literally embodies the card's traits to me.

I loved how you put Haseo's first form for the Fool. >W< It fits, doesn't it? Although I don't really get Atoli...
